Hey Friends!
Musician/singer Phil Collins recorded the theme song for Miami Vice back in the 1980's. (This should tell you my approximate age!) It was a very popular song of the day and contained the lyrics, "Can you feel it coming in the air tonight?". We have experienced a very moderate summer by Alabama standards, and the cooler temps "feel" like an early fall may be on hand. There is also another "season" that arrives with the fall here in Ol' Alabama.... can you feel it?..... Can you hear it?..... FOOTBALL! .... Especially ALABAMA FOOTBALL! Now I would never go so far as to say that God is an Alabama football fan, but I do know He attends ALL of our games! Ha! I am thankful for the change of seasons and for football... and I think God is ok with it too.... but I also think He wants us to understand that all of this is temporal... this world is not our home. There is something else God wants us to feel "coming in the air".... JESUS CHRIST!.... and He has gone to great lengths to tell/warn us.... Friends, as we begin to change out our wardrobes and gather our shakers and tailgaiting paraphenalia for fall weather and football , let us also remember to be ready to meet Christ at any moment... make sure you're on the WINNING TEAM this year.... TEAM JESUS! We love you.
